I know it has been a long time since I posted here. As you can probably imagine, the recounting of these events took a grave mental and emotional toll. So I set it aside, then kept procrastinating, except for occasional posts requested by significant people and the big news about his H-bot treatment.
When a friend recently asked about one of those posts (the one about Snowball) I could not find the blog. Thinking Google had shut it down, I used the Wayback Machine to recover the contents.
Meanwhile, the original manuscript somehow did not survive the transferring of data to several new computers I needed over the past 15 years. I also switched from Word Perfect© to Word©, as much at I prefer the former. Corel priced it out of range for my budget. So that made it all the more urgent that I find these passages.
I have spent the past few days pasting together a new version of the manuscript. Perhaps I can put more of the story together for you.
The process of copying and pasting the entries into a new document (and doing some minor editing) I often wiped the tears that decided to slide down my cheeks. It reminded me of why I took such a long break from the task.
Also, while editing the last entry about the first day of his hospital stay, I realized I left out a very significant part of that story. So I will post the revised version in another post, separate from this one.
I am not promising any consistent updates (there are certainly many) but in response to some requests I have some pressing topics to cover. They may not be in any chronological order as I post, but rest assured, they will be placed appropriately in the manuscript.
